2Timothy 3:2. For men will be: Or โFor people will be.โ. The Greek word here rendered โmenโ often refers to humanity in general, both men and women. Paul goes on to list some 20 different traits that people would exhibit โin the last days,โ a time far in the future from his day. ( 2Ti 3:1 and study note) However, Paul does not

Verse1 Timothy 5:2. The elder women as mothers โ Treating them with the respect due to their age. The younger as sisters โ Feel for every member of the Church, old and young, male and female; consider them as fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters; treat them all with gentleness; and labour to keep them in, not to expel them from, the Church.

Verse5 will add one final attribute, for a total of nineteen. First, evil people will be "treacherous," or those who act like traitors. Prior verses mentioned these people as "irreconcilable," or "unappeasable" (2 Timothy 3:3), meaning those who cannot be convinced to agree or to honor an agreement.
