I thought 38 pin connectors were only on non US spec vehicles. US spec R170's got the OBDII. My 38pin connector is under a plug fitted to a black controller box just ahead of the passenger side firewall -it does monitor far more systems than an OBDII. J. Checked the fuses for the instrument cluster, checked battery voltage and charging voltage both OK. Removed the K40 replay and gave it a bunch of stiff raps while watching the lights, no flicker and no change. Scanned the car and no codes at all, was able to read values from various modules.
