The release of Horizon Forbidden West marks the second entry in a series from Guerrilla Games, the first of which was 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn.Early reviews indicate that Horizon Forbidden West is better than the original, which already set a decently high bar, but as a direct sequel there's a risk of becoming lost while trying to follow a story that has already been developing over the course For the higher rarity weapons and outfits, a trader will require a massive amount of shards and pieces of the harder-to-take-down Machines. Always keep an eye on what you’re selling, because you might just need it for that awesome, new bow. Horizon: Zero Dawn is out now for PlayStation 4. Basically (repeating @milhawk90), the best weapon is the one you need in the moment, given the terrain and your enemies. The best version of each weapon is the purple (shadow) versions because of the additional mod slots, or lodge versions. 1. drunkengeebee • 7 yr. ago. Blast sling - 3x dmg - raw dps, more like a rocketlauncher. Tripcaster - 3x schock - immobilise those rushing robots and creat safe spaces. Ropecaster - 3x handling - pin those robots down fast. IMO that is the cookie cutter setup most op "builds" use and every engagement is rather the same. Hunting bow for example has one damage, handling and fire mod each which is an all rounder. The handling boosts the speed at which multiple arrows are nocked. Damage adds purpose to each arrow hitting, mainly hardpoint arrows, as it is pointless doing 3 arrows per shot if there's no damage in each hit. I don't know where to farm wire, but I can give you combat tips. Get a freeze weapon ASAP, my favorite is the Shadow War Bow, and when you're fighting dangerous machines freeze them first, they take 200% extra arrow damage when they're frozen, then you can spam triple shots of Hardpoint arrows with the Shadow Hunter Bow (with damage mods), the DPS is way better compared to the Sharpshot Bow. You don't have to equip your spear, just press R1 for a light attack and R2 for a heavy attack. If you want to equip weapons, go to the menu place (where it shows you the map, your inventory, crafting, skills, notebook, quests, etc.) and go to the Inventory area. The first one should be "Weapons". Once you click that category, select the weapon This was my standard arsenal during majority of game - Hunter Bow (Normal, High-Piercing and Fire Arrows), Sharpshooter Bow (Tear and Precision Arrows) , Ropecaster and Slings. I never found much use Tripcaster due to my style of play. Ofcourse, these weapons have different variants like Carja, Shadow, etc. with varying stats. .
