Last night I Googled Jesus. I mean, of course I knew his story. But the breathless, headlong rush of biblically based events in “Jesus Christ Superstar” — whose latest touring version just Redeeming itself from an overblown first half and having its energy continually sapped by frequent commercial breaks, NBC’s “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert” was saved Sunday night by "Jesus Christ Superstar," featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, has been around for over 50 years.
