Lens hood is reversible. Canon EF 70-300 F4-5.6 IS II USM. Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. The lens hood can screw onto the lens in reverse so that you can keep it on your camera at all times, ready to use. filter size. 67mm. 77mm. A major upgrade of Canon’s popular 70-200mm f/4 IS lens, the new Mark II remains relatively compact and lightweight, but packs a heavyweight punch in terms of performance. The speed and accuracy
f/2 and f/2.8 are pretty close, f/2.8 and f/4 are different. All those samples are taken with the same lens. IMO, the bokeh of the 70-200 f4 IS is more consistent than the 70-200mm f2.8 IS. Dave Bergman makes several key points in comparing the 24-105 f/4 and the 24-70 f/2.8. He gets into the added range of the 24-105, the greater depth control (bokeh) that the 24-70 has when it

You can get the EF 70-200 2.8 L ii for around the same price with an adapter but it's substantially larger and heavier for just a little more bokeh/lower ISO. IMO the RF 70-200 f4 is the way to go.
Later, I took a few shots with 70-200 f2.8 Sigma and several with 300mm f2.8 Sigma, but mostly with 24-105L. The latter is so versatile that I'd regard it as a must. SIgma 70-200 F2.8 at f2.8. The Canon would be a little sharper than this at this focal length, but not at shorter ones, where the Sigma is amazing. T. Crop from 24-105L.
Weight-wise, the 70-200mm f/4G VR is a bliss – at 850 grams, it is 50 grams lighter than the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G and almost twice lighter than the f/2.8 VR II. I love my 70-200mm f/2.8G, but after a couple of wedding seasons, I find myself using lighter prime lenses instead. Those that use the lens on a pro body like D4 and shoot all day
